Meet THE KALE QUEEN
also known as Rosie Battista
Rosie Battista was nicknamed the KALE QUEEN or "KQ" by a friend because of her love of kale. Not
only does she love it, she's passionate about getting others to join in her affection. Her favorite recipe
is making kale into delicious crunchy chips and sharing them with family, friends, clients and anyone and
everyone. Her mission as a Healthy Living Mentor is to share her passion for healthy eating and living
and empower you to fall in love with your food by getting rid of fake food and eating REAL FOOD; to fall
in love with your body, by learning how to appreciate and care of yourself; and fall in love with your
life by uncovering your inner strengths and dreams.
Rosie is a graduate of the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in NYC, certified by the American Association
of Drugless Practitioners, and holds a bachelors degree in marketing. Her own struggles, experiences and
research around weight and food enable her to offer help to others facing health challenges. Her style
is "REAL", her approach is simple and the results are sustainable.
Rosie says...
I love to eat. I am passionate about food. I know that eating well can change your life. I know this
because I have lost and gained over 600 pounds (no, not all at once) throughout many years of yo-yo dieting.
It was frustrating and it was painful. It was only when I stopped fighting with my food and changed what
I was eating that I was able to fall in love with my food and change my life. I got off the diets
physically and emotionally and concentrated on eating for my heath and appreciating my body. Instead of
eating fake, low calorie, no fat, low sugar, and no carb dead stuff out of boxes, I switched to whole,
unprocessed real foods and was able to make the necessary changes to live a life I truly love. When I
got rid of the fake, chemical, artificially flavored and processed junk, my food, my body and my life
changed. I don't diet, step on a scale or count calories! It's pure freedom!
I believe in the healing power of nutritious food. I believe that eating well will change your life. I
believe in making lifestyle changes that are simple sustainable. But most of all, I believe in YOU!
